How to deal with yourself when you are overwhelmed in your life.

Getting overwhelmed in our life is obvious, but with the help of some sort of things make it easy for you to deal with it. Things happen gradually with time and with time simultaneous unfavorable conditions make you overwhelmed. 

We know keeping ourselves happy is always a difficult task. Somehow with our creativity, productivity, and people around us, we manage ourselves to be happy. Sometimes staying not motivated to our goal makes us overwhelmed, another time unfavorable conditions, some things are not in our control and sometimes lack of management makes us overwhelmed.

It will never happen like you woke up and imagine I am the happiest person in this world, and you will be fine. You have to be motivated with your Ideology what you believe in, and what will serve you for the highest good. 

Motivation acts like a catalyst that causes us to act, how to act and when to act. Your desire is the key to motivation, the stronger your desire will be the more motivated you will. 

But how do you stay motivated on anything –whether it’s running a business, being optimistic, or being regular on the gym – when nothing goes anything as planned.

Last year due to the Covid pandemic, the business has fallen, and it’s still struggling. Jobs being lost, we got separated from the people we love, unable to see our loved ones for so long and it affects us, most of us felt overwhelmed in our life.

Being optimistic always is tough, but optimism is a habit we can develop over time.

So, let me share some of the things that I’ve found to do with practical approaches to the daily routine.

  • Find the reason what overwhelmed you? And list it down.
  • Eliminate the options where you are confused and not clear about.
  • Set a small goal, accomplish it, and celebrate it.
  • Do your job with consciousness.
  • Share your ideology and fear.
  • Be vocal about your rights.
  • Spend time with yourself.
  • Ask yourself the best possible way to be happy.

Find the reason what overwhelmed you? And list it down.

Most of the time we don’t feel overwhelmed because of a single reason, multiple causes make us feel overwhelmed in life. When we are overwhelmed we lose our sight of specifically what is causing us to feel this way. When we feel like this we must have to list down, what makes us feel like this.

There are certainly two or three things which will bother you so much.  

When you will check there will be few things where you can take action and there will be few things that you cannot control.

Find out the thing where you can take possible actions and plan for it.

For example

If my exam is near and I didn’t give my best due to any reason and with the passing date I am overwhelmed about that I planned according to what are the high yield topics, or I can read only highlighted topics and plan accordingly.

If I feel overwhelmed due to some personal problem like I am not able to meet someone due to my work or studies and it affects me. Then I plan to meet them for short period like while commute or something like that. Or I cancel the plan what I can cancel out.

Now the things which I cannot control, I accept it the way it is. And make myself comfortable with it and try to be optimistic about the next plan and next thing.

Eliminate the options where you are confused and not clear about.

Sometimes we are overwhelmed with so many options, make a habit to eliminate them which is not good for our higher self or the growth of an individual.

Many times there are people because of them we feel stagnant in our growth and feel overwhelmed, obviously some people come temporarily and create chaos in your life. You need to identify them and just eliminate them, with time you will feel great relief. 

It’s not the just in case of people but also in work, carrier, and future. If there will be fewer options, you will be more focused.

“Fewer options, more focused” will go with both personal and career.

Set a small goal, accomplish it, and celebrate it.

“Set a small goal to achieve a big one” always work. Sometimes a huge task can overwhelm you, so don’t think too much about it. Break your target into a small one and achieve it and don’t forget to celebrate it. 

May it’s too small to celebrate but it’s still your achievement towards the bigger one. 

Do your job with consciousness when you are overwhelmed in your life

Believe me, this can help you like a GPS in a very unknown place. Doing your job consciously makes you feel less messy. Living in your head while doing your job sucks.  

Living your truth is always comfortable. And the present is the real truth be in it. 

Share Your Ideology and Fear.

Everyone has their ideology and fear regarding anything. Whenever you are in doubt of anything you can always share with someone you believe in and if there is no one you can just write it down and read it again. It will give you a different perspective about everything, Sharing is worth it with the right people. It will help you to overcome your fear. I believe every problem comes with a solution, If there is no solution then it is not the problem, I call them to fate and people can write their fate by themselves.

Be Vocal About Your Rights.

Being vocal about your rights is okay and it is necessary. I am a girl who always believes in the right to live peacefully. I owe to myself to take care of myself. So I do things, I need to do.

 Sometimes we just adjust because of many reasons and maybe the reason is somehow genuine but there is always a way to do it nicely with your terms. What you need is just to believe in the fact you are the only person who is going to responsible for your happiness and grief. Your failure and success depend just on you, you just have to do the right things for your good.   

Spend Time with Yourself

No one can be more real to you than yourself. Grab some coffee, wine, beer, tea anything with your favorite music at your very own favorite place and spend your “me” time. Care for yourself, take yourself to the spa, and make yourself dinner give yourself a treatment you always deserve to. 

Here is a gentle reminder you are the only one who is going to take care of you, others are just like an added candles to your already baked cake. Be truthful to yourself. Deal yourself with overwhelmed situation

Ask Yourself the Best Possible Way to be Happy.

Be your therapist, advise yourself on the best possible ways to be happy. Because you know if you are not happy then there are some blocks in between your happiness. Some blocks can be fixed and some blocks need to be accepted than removed. Let your inner self speak. Let your mind accept. Let yourself be true. You just need to realize are a tremendous person with the vitality to change everything you wish.
